I’m 45 and diagnosed with head and neck cancer. Yesterday, I had surgery. Needless to say, this is one of the saddest moments. When I came into my room, Heather immediately engaged us with care and compassion. We joked and laughed, which was the best medicine. I felt safe and comfortable with her attending to my needs. This girl was made for nursing.
