My wife had to be induced four weeks earlier than expected, so we were already in a stressful situation before we even arrived at the hospital. Beth was present for the bulk of my wife’s long and painful labor and postpartum care. Beth went above and beyond the normal call of duty by expressing compassion, working tirelessly to ensure we were comfortable, and educating us on our options.

My wife was adamant that she wanted to deliver our baby girl via a natural birth with no epidural. Beth consistently checked up on her and provided solutions for pain relief without pushing my wife to do anything she was not comfortable with. When the pain became unbearable and the IV pain medication ceased to work, she gently suggested the epidural, as we could all no longer bear to see my wife in pain. Beth helped my wife overcome the fear of the epidural needle and compassionately walked her through every step of the procedure, ensuring my wife was okay. It was Beth’s compassion, leadership, and care-taking skills that encouraged my wife to face her fears and deliver our beautiful baby girl in a much less painful matter. Beth made a huge impression on us, proving that being a labor and delivery nurse is much more than just a job for her; it is her calling, and she will do anything in her power to help her patients.
