I am honored to nominate Ronnie Stringer from WVU Children’s Hospital for the DAISY Award. Ronnie exemplifies what it means to be a true patient advocate. She is genuine, caring, and deeply compassionate, and her unwavering support made an incredible difference during one of the most challenging moments of my life, delivering my baby.
 
Ronnie encouraged me every step of the way, making me feel mentally and emotionally strong throughout the process, even when it became traumatic and challenging. Her belief in me gave me the strength to face every moment with courage. 
 
When I required a C-section, Ronnie went above and beyond by scrubbing into the surgery, not because she had to, but because she wanted to be there to support me. Her presence during such a vulnerable time brought me immense comfort and reassurance. Her care did not just impact me; it also profoundly affected my husband. Ronnie’s dedication and compassion created an environment where we both felt supported, understood, and cared for.
 
Ronnie embodies the heart and soul of nursing, and her kindness will forever be a part of my childbirth journey. She truly deserves to be recognized for the extraordinary care she provides to her patients and their families.
