My father is going through end-of-life care, and every step of the way has been difficult and emotionally taxing.  However, having this nurse in my corner has made me feel more confident and comfortable.
My father experienced a major cardiac episode that caused a catastrophic brain injury.  This nurse has been incredibly kind to my dad while he has been unconscious and unresponsive.  She has spoken to him while she has been going through her routine checks of him.

This nurse has been sweet to me, his daughter, and has answered all of my questions about his care in a way that is easy to understand, honest, and simple.  This nurse has an incredible disposition, and she is an excellent teacher to the student nurses that have been shadowing her. She is an incredible soul.

I have met many nurses, but this nurse really “takes the cake,” so to say. Her personality and approach to caring for those who cannot care for themselves are above and beyond anything I have experienced in my life. As my father’s daughter, I have had a lot of questions about his medications, chest tube, ventilator, etc. She has answered them patiently—sometimes the same questions.

My father is going through end-of-life care, and every step of the way has been difficult and emotionally taxing.  However, having this nurse in my corner has made me feel more confident and comfortable (well, as comfortable as I can be in this situation).

If not for this nurse, this process would be exponentially more difficult.  I want to recognize her for her compassion, kindness, knowledge, energy, and everything!  She is so fantastic and wonderful and just beyond words!  I would give her hugs a million times over. I submit this in honor of my father.
