My dad had a knee replacement recently. After his surgery, he was brought to the PACU to stay for the night. During his time there, we had the absolute pleasure of working with one of your nurses. Katie Weber RN - PACU Holding.

I work at OCR, and I helped coordinate everything on that end. My dad was very very nervous for this surgery and as his daughter I couldn’t have picked a better nurse for him than Katie.

He’s not the best patient. Haha, I love him dearly, but he’s not. He also gets stressed out with medical people, but Katie was incredible with him. She was funny and playfully sassy (which he needs with his not-great-patient behavior, haha). I was dying laughing so hard at some stuff she was saying. She was the perfect combination of fun and very compassionate, attentive, and caring. They had inside jokes by the time her shift was done, and he was very much trying to convince her to stay or come back to help him the next day. He described her as a blessing. She was so sweet to my whole family. She explained things to us so we could understand. She was so on top of everything and just really, really made this whole experience so much easier for him. When she left to go home at the end of her shift, we all felt like a best friend just left. I’m not exactly sure what else I need to do to get her a DAISY, but whatever it is, I will do it because it meant the world to me how well she took care of my dad at a time when he was scared and vulnerable. Can’t sing her praises enough. 

She’s exactly what you would want in a nurse.
