My 1-year-old son arrived at Women’s and Children’s struggling to breathe. Upon arrival, we told triage how we were terrified for our son needing an IV because the last time we were here, he was stuck over 10 times by over 5 different nurses. When Danielle Savoie entered our room to introduce herself, she immediately addressed our concern and let us know that she would do everything in her power to make our son comfortable and hopefully would only need one stick for his IV. She was able to get a successful IV on the first try. Danielle came in multiple times to check on him as well as checking on us throughout our stay. She went above and beyond by bringing my fiancé a block for his phone charger knowing he came here straight from work. We later found out by hearing her talking with her peers that she was scheduled to be off today, but the hospital was in need, so she came in. To provide this exquisite care on your day off, with an ER full of patients to be seen is something you don’t see often. As a unit supervisor, Danielle demonstrates leadership as well as awesome clinical skills. Because of her, Women’s and Children’s is our family's new preferred hospital.
