She was so kind, passionate, and caring while taking care of my dad in the ICU.  When he passed, she was there to offer support.  It is so hard to lose someone so close to you, but having a nurse like her in this critical time meant a lot to our family. She really showed P.E.T.A.L.S.

Delcy possesses all the qualities listed under P.E.T.A.L.S.  B arrived at the ICU, where he was in critical condition. Delcy cared for him with compassion and skill set.  B's wife and family all came to me saying that Delcy was so kind to them. B's wife had to make the decision to donate B's organs.  The situation was horrible but Delcy and the UH team were so supportive to the family. The family was amazed by Delcy's attention and empathy she showed to B and them. B's wife even bought her an angel necklace. That is what they referred to her as - a true angel.  I was so proud to work here myself after hearing about this experience.
