Raquel came here on our first night and introduced herself. She wanted to see if there was anything we needed. She was very kind and patient. Did not make us feel she was rushing. Truly listened to us with empathy and compassion. Made us both feel cared for. She was very understanding of my husband’s condition and allowed me to stay at his bedside which relieved his anxiety and mine.

We thought we would go home in 24 hours, but unfortunately that did not happen. But the good thing was that Raquel was there on day 2 smiling and with a comforting face. We were so relieved, and I wanted her dedication and compassion to be recognized. I was an RN for 45 years and know sometimes we only hear the negative, so I definitely wanted to tell you how blessed we feel to have encountered Raquel. She is a breath of fresh air and caring soul. She understands how important family-centered care is for the patient and family. She doesn’t talk it, she walks it. Please give her the sunshine she gave us.
