My father was admitted to the ER and then transferred to 3 West, where Rachel Schwartzer was his nurse. Even though my father’s name/records had not yet been populated in the system, Ms. Rachel went right to work and immediately started to care for my father. I was so impressed with her knowledge and willingness to help. She pieced together the puzzle to ensure my questions were answered and my father was taken care of and comfortable. The way in which she spoke to him was very sweet and made him feel at ease – and made me feel at ease as well. Rachel jumped in to get him hooked up to his antibiotics/IV right away to help with his brittle, dry skin, even though he was not her patient.
