I am writing to express my deepest appreciation for the incredible care and support you provided me after my surgery. Having surgery is never easy but you helped transform what could have been a daunting experience into one reassurance, comfort and healing experience.

From the first moment, your kindness put me at ease. You took the time to explain everything, answer my questions and make sure I was comfortable. Your attentiveness made a world of difference, whether it was helping me manage the pain or ensuring I was on the right path to recovery. Or just being there with a comforting word or a smile that helped me feel better. Over the years, since 1999, I have had thousands of nurses care for me at different stages of my health journey. And without a doubt, you have been the best one in the world! Not only did you tend to my physical needs, but you also provided the emotional support that I did not realize I would need during those horrible moments when I felt in such pain, vulnerability, or uncertainty. Your calm and compassionate presence gave me the strength to fight my fever, my pain, and my condition. You gave me the strength I needed.

Thank you for the small acts of kindness that showed how much you truly care about your patients. I feel so fortunate that I had a nurse like you by my side, and UMC should be proud to have you as a nurse. I wish they had more like you! 

You are a rare and beautiful example of what makes the nursing profession so powerful, and I am forever grateful for everything you did to help me during my stay at UMC. I wish you nothing but the very best in the future. May your career continue to bring you as much joy and fulfillment as you have brought to me and your other lucky patients.
