She is a “rock,” a non-stop, no-nonsense, caring woman who takes her job seriously but has such a lighthearted sense of humor! She is such a good advocate for her patients and if she sees or notices a problem, she deals with it.
My spouse was hospitalized at Marshfield Medical Center after a severe allergic reaction to a medication, resulting in kidney failure. At the same time, he is coping with right foot metatarsal amputation for several months, resulting in chronic pain, that is often debilitating. He is 87 years old. He was discharged (transferred) from 7th floor to the Rehab Unit after a 9-day hospital stay to get his kidneys functioning again. Herein, Janet enters the picture. She is a “rock,” a non-stop, no-nonsense, caring woman who takes her job seriously but has such a lighthearted sense of humor! She is such a good advocate for her patients and if she sees or notices a problem, she deals with it. She has a very keen sense and can anticipate problems. We are so thankful for the outstanding care she has given. I am sure she sees many patients during her workday, but I can tell you she treats her patients as if they are the only ones.
She is very knowledgeable about her work, and she is great about educating us regarding medications and care plans, and this was ongoing throughout my spouse’s stay. Janet went the extra mile and did not hesitate to collaborate with medical providers on my spouse’s behalf. She took his chronic pain seriously and did everything she could to make him feel comfortable and to facilitate and collaborate on pain management with his providers. We are SO grateful for that! I don’t think it was an "accident" that Janet came into our lives when she was needed.
She is a blessing to those she serves, and we wish her many blessings on her journey ahead. Thanks, Janet, blessings, and prayers.
