Stephanie was my nurse my first night as a mom. After an urgent c-section and a long day of recovery, as a first-time mom, I feared the first night would be the hardest. Thanks to Stephanie, it wasn't. She was such an important core part of my stay at AdventHealth because of her nursing experience and kindness. She took so much time in the middle of the night to help me, educate me, and validate all my concerns and feelings. She helped my husband and me struggle through diaper changes and swaddle practice and took her time with us when she probably wasn't obligated to. You can tell she works out of the kindness of her heart and cares about the patients and babies she tends to. She handled my newborn with such gentle love and care, as well as my pain management, that I felt so safe and confident to be in her hands. All of the nurses that cared for us were amazing and exceeded all my expectations, but Stephanie truly stuck out to me that night and made my family feel whole.
