I would like to nominate Hsin for the DAISY Award for his extraordinary care of my grandpa during a critical time in the ICU department. Hsin was incredibly attentive and compassionate, ensuring that my grandpa received the best care even when he was extremely unstable and coding daily before he was his nurse. He recognized the sensitivity of moving my grandpa and adjusted his care plan to minimize unnecessary stress.

Hsin's communication was exemplary. He kept my family updated with lots of details about the care plan, often without us needing to ask him and he made sure family comfort was a clear priority. When my grandpa coded, he not only called my dad and left a detailed message but went above and beyond to also call me at 3am to ensure we knew what happened and that I was informed about them wanting to put in his permanent pacemaker in a few hours given his condition. Even my wife, who is an ICU nurse, was deeply impressed by Hsin’s thoroughness and genuine concern.

Hsin’s dedication, professionalism, and attention to detail he gave my family, provided us comfort during a very difficult time. My grandpa was truly lucky to have him, and we are so grateful for the exceptional care he provided.
