Reina’s ICU team embodies great care experience qualities. The moment I was admitted to the ICU department, my experience felt welcoming and magical. The nurses were kind enough to communicate the admission process before prepping me to the ward. They ensured all modalities were intact according to the providers' orders, such as the IV drip, the BP monitor, the pulse sensor, adequate room temperature, etc. Granted, they serve a location of about 4.6 million residents in the region, but how they apply a personal touch to every patient every time is truly remarkable. It’s a team effort because everyone chimes in humbly where needed including the physicians. This is truly a great reflection of Reina Vick, RN, MSN leadership, as it trickles down to her direct reports. I came in with dire health challenges and left the unit feeling empowered, motivated, and confident to apply all the healing techniques I learned to recover fully. This is a rare gem in Riverside County that needs recognition because it shows how the care and support of patients can simply help them heal and recover faster. I am honored to be a patient in this unit and this medical center. Great work, Reina and your team!!
