I am writing on behalf of my family and myself for the recent hospital stay of our mother. We as a family would like to recognize the entire ICU unit with the DAISY Team Award for their wonderful and excellent care of our mother. They were all very kind and compassionate, not only to her needs but ours as a family in a very trying and difficult time. They ensured that they kept us updated on her status and were always willing and eager to answer any questions we had. As with anyone with a family member in the hospital you want the best outcome possible for them, when we had to make the difficult decision to transition over to comfort care, they answered all our questions, gave us all the facts and recommendations that they could, and showed genuine love and support. I hate to name any of them by name because we do not want to leave anyone out by accident. We also appreciate all the visits from the hospital staff and volunteers that our mother received. As an employee myself, I know that a lot of times, the good never gets recognized, and we wanted to take the time to say that our time at the hospital was amazing.
