She was nominated by a member of her leadership team for going above and beyond for a patient who was going through a really difficult time. This patient was a 37-year-old female with a progressive and debilitating neurological disorder, which left her unable to take care of herself. Gabby was assigned to this patient and wanted to do something to make her smile. Gabby brought in a face mask, nail polish, and hair care products so the patient could enjoy a spa day. Giving her patient that moment of normalcy while being in the ICU brought the patient so much joy and happiness.  This beautiful gesture made her feel special in that moment and gave her a much-needed distraction from dealing with her diagnosis and hospitalization.
