She works tirelessly to make sure care managers and utilization nurses meet the high expectations of our department. If a nurse falls short, she willingly meets with them to give them education and guidance.
Michelle is a leader in clinical excellence. She is an exceptional nurse who works very hard day and and day out to make our department successful. She does not do what would be considered a traditional nursing role but her impact on members is important. She works tirelessly to make sure care managers and utilization nurses meet the high expectations of our department. If a nurse falls short, she willingly meets with them to give them education and guidance. She is a mentor to many. She cares for the members as well as the caregivers. She is kind and respectful to everyone she works with. She provides meaningful data to leaders so they can help their teams with continuous improvement. Michelle is a partner in clinical health. She is a great coworker. She frequently volunteers to help other members of the team. Her work is impeccable. Michelle is working with our platform team as the department prepares for the move to Jiva. She is on the committee to provide guidance and direction for the work that affects our department and team. This has put extra strain on her work time but she does it willingly. She communicates and collaborates well with others. She is a joy to work with. Michelle does the right thing. She does a great job bringing concerns to the team. She does so in a respectful way. I rely on her to be honest with me when she sees a better way to do things. She will speak up for members and caregivers.

Michelle has impacted our team and department in a positive way. She has helped elevate Medicare Care Management and the DSNP program. She played an integral part of getting the DSNP program up and running. She helped care managers learn their roles as well as how to document so we have successful accreditation audits. She helps members by making sure the work we do is right. This is especially true for utilization review. She is motivated by making sure our department's work is consistent and correct for the members. She is often contacted by caregivers for assistance with InterQual. She willingly mentors them. She has been with Intermountain for 36 years, and we are a better company because of her. She inspires me to be a better person.
