Upon arrival in June, I had spoken a prayer of request for my Dad to be given a care team that truly cared. In June, I explained to this nurse that they were most definitely the answer to our prayers & my Dad quickly agreed. This Team Member's positive attitude is contagious & kept us all on the right track. Their smile, humor, and sheer enjoyment of their job were a highlight of our experience at Self Regional. This nurse was great at double-checking the details. If Dad needed anything, they were on the job. They were friendly & did not mind a request; we were not a burden. We felt like family before we left. I told them my daughter wanted to record my Dad’s natural irregular heartbeat to make a song, but I didn’t know how. They came back with a doppler & helped us make a recording! When Dad was waiting a bit for transport, this Team Member brought him down themselves. They were patient to listen when Dad spoke & patient to speak up for him to hear. They always told him what was going on & answered every question.
