I delivered my beautiful baby girl at Banner Estrella. It was a grueling journey. I had so much stress regarding L&D from all the horror stories and time spent on the internet while pregnant. I was checked into triage for an induction. I was in triage for 10 hours before Tammi pulled me into my room. From the start, she was absolutely amazing. She walked through medications that would be administered, pain relief options, birthing positions, and even more. She was a breath of fresh air. She gave me such a push to pursue a career in L&D without her even knowing it. I hold my experience with her close to my heart. She was my dayshift nurse twice, and she happened to come in on the day my baby was born, even though she was no longer assigned to be my nurse. She checked on me, and I was so excited to see her. She got to see my daughter and hold her. I wish I could see her again to just hug her and say thank you. She got me through my biggest fear of being out of control of every situation. Labor was an eye-opener, and exposure therapy was used for that. She was a rock during the whole experience and helped me through every step with knowledge, grace, and respect. I am so grateful to have experienced her.
