Julie Hines is a model of professionalism. She exemplifies what it means to truly care for her patients. She has conducted herself on every occasion, which I have been privileged to witness professionally, courteously, and with a genuine display of character. She consistently goes out of her way to help and explain things to us on lower B. Going out of her way is just what Julie does. It’s not at all uncommon to see her spend extra time with a patient. Every time she comes on shift, I see so many of my veteran brother's faces light up, accompanied by a bright smile. All this is because she has touched us in a way that has impacted us. I honestly do not know anyone who doesn’t have a good word to say about how she treats us and who she is. That is a direct result of her conduct and efforts on our behalf, and she deserves to be recognized and praised. She has personally restored my faith in the medical field and the opportunities provided by the VA. At one time, I considered stopping my medications and leaving. Julie single-handedly spent hours explaining and encouraging me. Thank God for her kindness and personal care on my behalf. Thank you, Julie!
