She made sure all my worries were addressed.
I came in with pre-eclampsia at 32 weeks and had to be placed on magnesium. This was my first baby, and I was terrified. The night I delivered, Camille Glauser was checking on me constantly as my oxygen levels kept dropping even though they were increasing my oxygen. Right after midnight, she ended up coming into my room and staying with me to keep an eye on things and advocated for a c-section when I got too low. She woke me up and calmly told me we couldn’t wait any longer. She got me ready and held my hand the whole way. She made sure I saw my baby before it was rushed away. Once I had almost completely recovered from the spinal block, she took me back to the NICU to get a longer look. She made sure all my worries were addressed. I ended up asking her a month later what had happened as I was delirious and couldn’t remember all of it. She answered all of my questions. Because of her, I didn’t have any long-lasting damage due to oxygen loss and her consistency on my magnesium and medications.
