Erika is fantastic. She guided me through one of the most vulnerable moments in a woman’s life: giving birth. I felt seen, heard, cared for, and respected. I am sure in her position, it would be easy to become desensitized – delivering hundreds of babies may seem routine to some medical staff. But for each patient and family, it is a watershed event – filled with joy but also anxiety. It is fraught with emotion, and it is rare to find someone who could be so present to my needs and concerns.

Erika was a true advocate who helped me deliver on my terms in a calm and informed manner. We spoke candidly, and she empowered me to make decisions that led to a very easy birthing experience. This was one of the best medical experiences I have ever had.
