I would like to recognize and thank our Infection Control Nurse for her guidance throughout COVID-19 pandemic. She stood in the front unit with other nursing and DCS staff while still maintaining reporting requirements to CMS and staff. She has been observed fatigued and burned out but always staying the course, performing Binax testing after testing on break-out testing on the units, completing staff education and training, and always providing us with the latest on CDC and CMS guidelines. Her teamwork and cooperation are ensuring the hospital is compliant with reporting requirements. She does what it takes to get the task done after seeing one staff down. She comes in early or stays late in order to safeguard the health and safety of individuals and staff. She is dedicated at all levels and always ready to assist.
