You have truly made my experience here at DCH so much more than I could’ve imagined. You have the potential to change lives, and you have changed mine. You have provided a safe space for me to express my emotions. You have been my go-to person and will continue to be my person (as long as you are ok with that LOL). I count myself blessed that God chose you to be my nurse. I truly see my mother in you because of the way you comforted me while I was upset or in pain. Meeting you gave me faith in the world again because you are living proof that good people still exist in this broken world. You treated me as if I were your own and I will forever be grateful for the treatment you provided both me and my aunt. I love your special surprises; they always put a smile on my face. You are very special because not many people have the gift of patience, especially when in a hospital setting. You were so patient with me when I was having a breakdown or when I was in pain. You advocated for my needs both with me and behind closed doors. You had my back before I even stepped foot in my room. Your smile and laugh are so contagious, and you light up a room the second you enter. Thank you for not letting me suffer in pain, and for always being available when I would press the red button. I have never experienced care the way you cared for me. I will be recommending DCH, especially you, to those who are feeling ill. Thank you for my small item of hope. I will never take it off. This will serve as a reminder to treat others the way you treated me. Thank you, JESUS, for leading me to you. I look up to you, Haley! Continue to love others unconditionally. Nursing is your calling! Anyone would be beyond lucky to have you on their team. You are truly one of a kind. Thank you for everything you’ve done for me. I love you!
