LeeAnn not only empathized with the patient but also worked closely with another provider in the office to make sure this patient was prescribed the necessary medications
LeeAnn demonstrates compassion, patience, and empathy to all the patients and staff that she works with. She considers each patient as a whole and not just by their diagnosis. One example of this is helping a patient who needed to go to the hospital due to high liver enzymes. The patient did not want to go because she is the main caregiver to her disabled son. She looked for resources and options to help the patient and her son. I also watched her help a mother whose son is missing get the care she needs in this stressful time by advocating to the providers for the patient. These are only a few examples of how LeeAnn helps all her patients. I get to watch her work every day since my desk was moved down to the primary care section of the building. She is amazing and I am so surprised that she has never been recognized for her contributions to her office and her patients.

LeeAnn works at our Primary Care office in Henrietta. LeeAnn has been working as an LPN for over 35 years to provide care for our patients. LeeAnn continues to display such care for our patients every day. Going the extra mile to ensure they are all taken care of. Just recently, we had a patient whose provider was not in the office, and this patient was experiencing a very traumatic, heartbreaking experience. LeeAnn not only empathized with the patient but also worked closely with another provider in the office to make sure this patient was prescribed the necessary medications to be able to relax and get the much-needed sleep she currently has not been able to get. And if our patients were asked how their experience was with their providers during their visit, it is no surprise to me, when the answer to our Press Ganey surveys come back with the following;
"LeeAnn is amazing."
"LeeAnn took really great care of my husband and I."
"LeeAnn listened to my concern, and it was handled immediately."
Our patients value the compassion, the devotion, and how much she cares for their well-being. We are so grateful for the hard work she continues to do within the office and with our patients, and we look forward to coming to work to hear her contagious laugh through the POD, or out of an exam room, after sharing a laugh with our patients.
