We spent the day at UPMC Western Maryland for my father to have a heart cath and stent implanted. His nurse was Andrea Valentine, and she was fantastic. She was friendly, upbeat, attentive, and prompt and maintained this throughout the entire time we were there. If my father needed help with anything while he was confined to the bed, she was right there for him. If she said she'd be back in 15 minutes, she was back in 15 minutes. Not one time throughout the day did we have to wonder what was going on or if we had been forgotten about. She checked in with us and kept us informed every step of the way. At discharge she was very clear and made sure we understood what needed to be followed. Andrea made the day a lot more bearable than we had expected, and we truly appreciate her contribution!
