She also showed how much she cared about how the patient felt and how to make her feel comfortable and care for her needs.
I nominate this nurse because she was very compassionate, very thorough, very respectful and demonstrated to my child how to use her diabetes devices, how to control her sugar, how to use her ketones, everything that she could possibly teach my daughter until my daughter was comfortable leaving this hospital. She also showed how much she cared about how the patient felt and how to make her feel comfortable and care for her needs. I am so happy to have met this nurse, and she deserves to be honored. You can tell she’s in the right field of practice.

Well, first off, my daughter would not stop talking about her until I met her. I now know why ....they had so much in common and even shared the same birthday. She was very informative on the information that my wife and I, as well as my daughter, needed to know ..this is a life-changing experience for all of us. Still, Arianna made us feel comfortable explaining/teaching us everything we needed to know and then some before we were discharged ..she sure made my daughter feel very comfortable, I just want to thank her again and again!!!

Arianna deserves the DAISY Award for helping me through my diagnosis of type 1 diabetes. There was not one time when I was with Ariana when I felt down or discouraged. She was able to always keep me in high hopes no matter what, always making me laugh and just making me feel comfortable in such an uncomfortable predicament. She was always attentive and so helpful to me and my family. I wouldn’t have wanted any other nurse but her. I wish she could be my nurse every time. Any time I would feel some sort of doubt, she would just wash that away with her positive and supportive attitude. If any nurse deserves this award, it is her. I really hope she does great things in her career because she deserves it.
