Brittni was one of our daughter's NICU nurses. This was my first time having a baby in the NICU, and having a nurse like Brittni take care of our daughter put me at ease. She always updated us with any changes to the care plan. She was calm and caring. You could feel it. She was clear and deliberate about any changes made and always made sure our questions were answered. She did not let us worry about the needs of our daughter; she was worried about the needs of us, the parents. She tended to us kindly. Being the first to care for our daughter, she taught us well. She made sure that we were prepared to go home and not be so overwhelmed.

There were many days that I would leave the NICU crying because my daughter did not get to go home with me, but she always knew the right words to say. Knowing that she was taking care of our daughter was very reassuring. She was an amazing nurse! I would never want to have this experience (NICU baby) again, but if I did, Brittni would be the first one I would want taking care of my child. She was such a kind nurse!
