Our first Faculty DAISY Award recipient is Joan Pierre, This was written and submitted on behalf of Joan:
Joan demonstrates enthusiasm for teaching the students during workshops and in the LSC. She inspires and motivates students to do their best and guides them to perfect their skills. Joan invests her time and energy to ensure that the students demonstrate quality in nursing practice and professional behaviors. Her caring personality makes her patient and flexible without sacrificing the integrity of the objectives. Her fair and unbiased approach to students and colleagues lends to a collaborative working environment in the LSC. Joan has extended her talents to master high fidelity simulation, has volunteered her time at the TRMC COVID vaccination clinics and Nurse Camp this summer.
