He was so caring and good with her. To a point that with her dementia and confusion at times she thought Jim was her grandson whom she lives with and adores.
My mother was admitted with a fractured hip and had surgery. My mom has dementia, so of course, she was very confused and did not know what happened to her and did not know where she was. From the moment Jim introduced himself to me, I felt relieved. The way he spoke to me and my mom was very reassuring. My mom is of Italian descent and I explained to him it would be best to speak to her in short simple sentences. There is not a specific situation or story that I need to describe with Jim’s care. It was the complete care! He was so caring and good with her. To a point that with her dementia and confusion at times she thought Jim was her grandson whom she lives with and adores. Jim just went along with it and when she took his hand and said “this is my T, I love him so much,” Jim was delighted. That reflects in itself the kindness and empathy he had for my mom. It made me feel so much better. I knew when I left to go home that she was in good hands.
