My father passed away in the 8th floor geriatrics ward of the old Beech Grove St. Francis Hospital. He was admitted under Palliative care and was there until his death.

Megan Miller was amazing during this time. She was assigned to my Father's room several days and a couple of days she was assigned to the room next to us.

Every afternoon I would leave work and go to the St. Francis Beech Grove campus. I would sit in the car working up the courage to go up to the 8th floor and enter his room. Every day I would see him there weak and helpless and begin to cry. Several times over those nine days Megan hugged and consoled me. She was nearly as much my nurse and my family's nurse as she as my Father's and I want to have her acknowledged for that. It takes a special person with special gifts to work in that area of a hospital.

Megan was always so pleasant to talk to and always willing to help and assist with the care of patients always with a smile.

My father qualified for a starring role in the movie "The grumpy old man." Megan provided very compassionate care.
