Patient Nomination: Lora in my eyes is the ideal nurse. I would give her nurse of the year if I could. She was outstanding, great listener, organized and super compassionate. She never displayed stress from her job. She always smiled and in return put a smile on my face. She made me comfortable when it was enema time. She is gentle, knowledgeable and put together. She forgot nothing and did not seem rushed.

Staff Member Nomination: Today I received a phone call from a patient that had been on our unit one month previously. She was an elderly women who did not want her 'special nurse' to go unrecognized. The patient said she was so scared after surgery & commented on how Lora calmed her fears. She described Lora as a 'super nurse who was very personable and gave her great care'. She went on to say that Lora was very nice, caring and professional. She could not offer enough praises for her 'special nurse' Lora.

Lora is a very special nurse. She is well-liked by her peers and her patients and their families love her. When I make discharge calls, Lora frequently receives positive feedback from her patients. Lora is the epitome of the professional nurse. She possesses strong clinical skills and always delivers her care in a very compassionate, professional manner. She 'connects' with her patients in a special way creating great patient experience. She is always smiling and has a positive attitude. Lora is a pleasure to work with. She certainly deserves this award.
