Twyla took care of my 84-year-old mother. She was very knowledgeable about what we were dealing with. My whole family loved her! She had so much patience and never made us feel she was in a hurry. She made us feel as if our mother was her only patient. She prayed with us and included us in everything.

Twyla is a true healer. My husband is 60-years-old and has a true fear of hospitals. Coming in for a fractured hip after bypass surgery, he was miserable and panicked. Twyla was able to talk to him, calm his fears and encourage him to accept his treatment plan. It didn't take long for her to win his trust and mine! She introduced other staff to him at each shift change and it made their jobs easier when it came to his care. She treats her patients like family. She calms them and helps them accept what needs to happen. She is never too busy to answer your questions and alleviate a patient's stress. She facilitates a healing spirit for the patient. I am a nurse on Twyla's unit and was also a patient recovering from surgery there as well. After surgery, my pulse dropped to the low 30s, which meant I couldn't have much for pain. Twyla came to my room and rubbed my back and soothed me until I finally fell asleep. As a nurse I know she didn't have time for this, but she did it anyway. This meant a lot to me. I know she did this because of her love for her patients because she does this for all of them. She is a great nurse.
