Patty was one of my son’s nurses during our January 12th to January 14th stay. She made getting us in touch with another doctor a priority. We have been trying to get in touch (unsuccessfully) since our December 17th to December 19th stay. Within 1 ½ hours, she had me speaking with him and getting an appointment set up.

She provided us with great one on one quality care. She was caring for not just my son, but me as well. She always made sure I was caring for myself so I could care for my son. She was always thinking about what we could do to get his oxygen levels up. She was so observant that she noticed when he was eating a popsicle he was forced to breathe through his nose and the O2 levels were going up. He was forced to take in the O2 he was getting through the tubes in his nose. She figured his nasal passages were clogged. We then took saline spray to clear and his 02 went up. Thanks to her determination and caring nature, we figured out one of our obstacles.

She was very attentive, caring and compassionate to us. It was clear she was there because she loves her job and not just for a pay check. Patty was instrumental in our experience being as good as possible. She is a very valuable employee to MaineGeneral and deserves to be recognized.
