My husband had a long stay in the hospital. Nurse Yolanda provided medical care on the overnight shift. I remained with my husband for much of the night while he was hospitalized. Nurse Yolanda was friendly and kind when introducing herself, which set the tone for her shift. Every time my husband had a need, she was quick to respond. I was able to find her easily whenever we had a question or needed something. She had a way of seeming at ease and confident when explaining something to us, reassuring us of her knowledge and expertise. As my husband has some significant disabilities, we occasionally had uncommon requests; Nurse Yolanda provided the requested assistance, medical care, and tools we needed to ensure his needs were met. She quickly learned the things that helped my husband reduce his stress, anxiety, pain level, and discomfort and ensured we had what he needed. I am so grateful for the care she provided.
