My dad did not like being in the hospital and is usually not a very good patient because he wants to be up and around, doing things all the time. When I visited him on Thursday, he talked a lot about Ylani and what a great nurse she is. He was so impressed with her - how hard she worked taking care of him as well as other patients on the floor. He even said that with each day, he was more and more impressed with her skills and abilities.

Little did we know that Dad would pass away following triple bypass surgery on Friday morning. And so as I think about his last week and being in the hospital, I am very thankful he had Ylani as his nurse. That he had someone so kind and caring taking care of him, he loves to give his caregivers a hard time, and our Nurse took it in stride and even dished it back. I could really tell that my dad respected her and all that she was doing. Thank you for making a lasting impact on my dad, mom, and our family, for genuinely caring for your patients, and doing all you can to make them feel like they are your only patient. We are so thankful for what you did to care for Dad.
