She was so kind, caring, empathetic, and gentle, and she helped me maintain my dignity.
Yelitze was very nice and very knowledgeable of what she was. She is a great person. God bless her. We need more people like her.

Yelitze was so kind and had such great attention to detail. She made the unpleasant experience of an emergency room visit calm and reassuring.

She was very knowledgeable about what was going on with my daughter. My daughter’s heart stopped for 5 seconds and she sprung into action. Also, she comforted her throughout the whole process. Nurse Yelitze is the best. Thank you for hiring this wonderful nurse.

***

Yelitze was wonderful with my 15-year-old daughter, who came into the emergency room with superventricular tachycardia. My daughter was so scared, but Mrs. Medina made her feel better.

My husband was taken to the ER with an extremely low pulse rate. His blood had to be drawn and his vein couldn’t be found. Yelitze worked for almost an hour without fail as she called on the powerful name of Jesus. She had to find the vein to draw my husband’s blood so that he would not have to be stuck multiple times at the ER and again at the hospital where he was being transferred. Yelitze’s determination, patience, and her faith in God resulted in victory! May she be mightily blessed as the Lord uses her, as she works with patients with critical needs!

Yelitze is an excellent nurse; she treats us very well and provides us with excellent medical care. She is very helpful and very kind. I highly recommend her, and I am very grateful for her work. May God bless her.

I arrived having not had a bowel movement for three days. I was triaged immediately and given a catheter within ten minutes of arrival. Over the next 12 hours I was looked after and cared for by Yelitze. She was so kind, caring, empathetic, and gentle, and she helped me maintain my dignity. Because of my embarrassing predicament and the first time I’ve ever experienced such an awful condition, I was naturally scared, in pain, and concerned. Yelitze explained everything that she was doing, kept me calm, and introduced the morphine steadily and gently to minimize the side effects. When the time came for the enema procedure and the aftermath, I was incredibly upset, very sick, and in a mess. I felt like I’d just given birth – exhausted and in pain. Again, Yelitze stayed focused and calm and made me feel as if it was all the most natural thing in the world. I can’t thank her enough for keeping me feeling cared for and as if I was her number one patient. In modern times it’s easy for nurses to forget patients have feelings because nurses are so often treated badly. Yelitze was an angel, protecting me and going above and beyond. “Thank you” doesn’t seem enough. But truly, thank you. Yelitze deserves the DAISY Award for being so professional, caring, kind, gentle, and patient – but above all, for keeping me feeling normal and cared for when I was at my worst.
