Yamilet Reyes, RN

I would like to nominate Yamilet, RN, at Community North Heart & Vascular for a DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional care she provided during my hospital stay on June 5, 2026. From the moment Yamilet came on shift, I knew I was in good hands. She was attentive, compassionate, knowledgeable, and always one step ahead of my needs. Whether she made sure I received my medications on time, followed up on questions about my care plan, or kept me informed about upcoming tests and procedures, she consistently went above and beyond. What impressed me most was not only her clinical expertise but also the genuine kindness and concern she showed throughout the day. She took the time to explain things clearly, answered every question I had, and made sure I understood what was happening when I felt uncertain. No matter how busy the unit seemed, I never felt like I was waiting or forgotten. She was always there when I needed her. I have had two hospital stays within the last few months while undergoing a double mastectomy and chemotherapy. This has been one of the most challenging times of my life, both physically and emotionally. Yamilet's care made a tremendous difference. She treated me with dignity, compassion, and respect, and she helped ease my fears during a very difficult journey. Not all nurses leave a lasting impression, but Yamilet certainly did. She is one of the very best nurses I have ever encountered. Her dedication to her patients, combined with her knowledge, professionalism, and heartfelt compassion, exemplifies everything the DAISY Award represents. I am deeply grateful for the care she provided and believe she truly deserves this recognition.
