How do you thank someone who has shown so much care and compassion for your loved one during their time of transition? It is a special gift, and Winta definitely has it. During my mom's stay, she has been there, checking in on her and making sure that she was comfortable. She was also there for the family, knowing what we were going through. She made sure we were comfortable during one of the most challenging times of our lives. The late evenings on the unit were hard, but knowing the care that Winta took to make Mom comfortable, I knew that she was very capable and professional. It made all the difference to our family.

Winta is not just an excellent nurse clinically, but a wonderful soul. She closely monitored my mom's situation and made any necessary adjustments for her. In my view, she epitomizes what it means to be a nurse because of the way she listened and provided care to both Mom and our family. While we did not want to have her released from Mom's care, we will never forget how she helped us come to terms with Mom's transition. When we were at the end of her life, we knew that Mom was treated with dignity and love because of Winta.
