I was a patient for one week. Due to the nature of the stay, I was overwhelmed and afraid. I was at times quite literally fighting for my life. As I started to heal, Will could see my frustrations with having to rely on everyone to help me. As a busy mom of two active children, I was not used to relying on anyone for help to even roll over or go to the bathroom. Will found creative solutions to help give me independence back where possible.

Will knew that my children were scared after their first time coming to see me in the hospital because of how sick I was and all the machines. When Will found out my children were coming to visit me again, he went above and beyond in making sure their visit eased their fears. He helped me change into normal clothes, he hid the wires and IV's connected to me so they were not easily seen, he removed any unnecessary machines and was creative in hiding the remaining machines. When my kids arrived, he spoke in terms they could understand and made sure they were comfortable. Will not only took care of all medical needs for me, but took the time to go the steps above to care for my family!
