I was a patient at Le Bonheur for 2 days, and I was very afraid. My momma had to work, so she would call and text me periodically, but I was still sad and scared. This was my first time in a hospital and away from my family. The next morning, my new nurse, Wesley, came in and was very kind to me. He quickly became like a big brother to me. When I was scared, he made jokes, talked about my Christmas wish list, and shared similar interests, like movies. He took very good care of me and explained everything that was going on and what to expect next. When new team members came into my room, I was nervous until I saw Wesley, because I knew he was the best nurse there was, and he would make sure they took great care of me. He was always there when I had pain or a question, and he would quickly fix it. I am happy now, and my stay at the hospital was enjoyable because of Wesley making me feel like family.
