After having two babies at another hospital, with horrible experiences, I decided to have my final baby at Cox South. I came in at 1 a.m. with a blood pressure of 157/110 on my 40-week mark. My feet were swollen, and I was miserable. They informed me they were going to induce me and moved me to labor and delivery. Wesh was my nurse following the shift change. He was amazing. I have never met someone who was so clearly made for the field of work they were in and did it with outstanding compassion. He prepped me every step of the way with everything that they were doing. From following my blood pressure to making sure I was comfortable and helping my spouse with my children until my mom could get there. He had true compassion for my health and my new child. He made sure I was comfortable. He considered every aspect of the situation. My son was in the wrong position, so he was on top of it by moving me to the correct position, and when it came down to the laboring, he talked me through the whole thing. Then came the hard part: I had to have emergency surgery, and my spouse could come with me. Wesh waited for him to get back into the room so he could take me. I was terrified, and he held my hand the entire way. Wesh saw I was struggling to breathe, so oxygen was there. He knew what I needed before I even did. He took care of me better than any doctor or nurse I have ever met.
