Watching Veronica Work endlessly to help a patient and her daughter in one of the scariest moments of their lives was truly inspiring. Veronica advocated for her patients and through numerous calls to get her patients the help and resources they deserve. The patient didn’t speak English and had no family in this country, but Veronica gave them the highest quality of care possible. After endless calls and it seemed to be impossible, Veronica was able to reunite the patient with her children and found her the resources needed to begin her recovery. Veronica demonstrated compassion in being persistent and not giving up until she found the answers and extended timeless human dignity. She listened to understand and gather perspective.
