Right off the bat Valerie had me laughing and giggling like there was nothing wrong with me even though I was her patient in a hospital gown. Other nurses came to assist, but I didn’t feel safe until Val was in the room. Val reassured me and calmed me down. Val talked me through everything as she was administering morphine. Her care was more than professional; it was a profound act of humanity. Every gesture, every word of encouragement, reflected her commitment and dedication.
