Twyla was our nurse when we lost our first baby boy at 16 weeks. I had no idea what to expect walking into that room in labor and delivery that night. Twyla took the time to explain everything to me. She sat in my room and talked to me about anything and everything to keep my mind off the worst day of my life. She held my hand during delivery and cried with me as I held my little boy. She made sure he was handled with care. Twyla came back the next evening to check on us and be sure that we were receiving all of the memory items we could before my discharge the next morning. I will never forget her kindness those days. She is an amazing nurse who goes above and beyond her patients’ needs. There is no one more deserving of this award.
