I am proud to nominate Twaina Inman for the DAISY Award in recognition of her outstanding care and dedication to two young twin patients who were suffering from the flu and pneumonia. From the moment Twaina took over their care, she demonstrated an incredible amount of kindness, creativity, and effort that went far beyond what was expected.

The twins were not only ill, but also faced financial difficulties that made it hard for their family to obtain the medications they needed. Twaina quickly took action to ensure the children received the medical attention they required. She worked diligently to find affordable medication options for the family and even arranged for the children to receive their medications at no cost by setting up an appointment with an indigent care facility.

Throughout their treatment, Twaina showed professionalism, empathy, and an unwavering commitment to the children's well-being. She explained their treatments in a gentle and reassuring way, helping the children feel safe and their parents feel informed and supported. Twaina didn’t just focus on their immediate medical care, she also helped the family connect with resources to ease their burden during a very difficult time.

Twaina’s compassion, creativity, and dedication make her a standout nurse. She deserves recognition for going above and beyond for her patients and their families. Her ability to think outside the box and provide long-term support for these children shows what it truly means to be a nurse.
