Trudy exemplifies selflessness, hard work, and a team-player mentality. She routinely puts the needs of her patient and her unit before herself. This was exemplified when Trudy volunteered to take extra patients, even though she did not have to, in order to facilitate throughput from the OR on a very busy OR day when the PACU was full and closed. This allowed patients to recover more quickly and return to their rooms faster. This is just one way in which Trudy typifies the hard-working nature of a quality nurse. She is a valued and important asset to the team, and she should be recognized as such.
