One of the nurses in the Emergency Room is an excellent employee who does his job from his heart. You can tell the difference between someone who genuinely is concerned and takes the time to actually make the whole “ER” thing totally worth choosing Deaconess over another hospital. I was totally depressed and demoralized, and had to wait about 3 hours to be seen. I was in so much pain and overwhelmed psychologically. Troy took the time while still being very efficient and treated me like a human being instead of a number. He also checked on me while still recovering other patients, and I noticed he did this with other people in general. Way to go! If more nurses could handle their job, which is, for any medical worker, tough due to massive workload, bureaucracy, patients treating Medical Staff like they don’t matter, and yet still manage their level of personal touch…insanely tough. Troy Elonen is what makes me see medical workers as Superheroes in real life. Thanks!
