My grandmother was in and out of the hospital for weeks, bouncing from rehab to the ED. Upon her first visit, she met Tristan, who, every single time she came in, went out of his way to visit with her, tend to her, do anything he could to help her. Even if he was busy or not her assigned nurse, he went out of his way to visit her and do anything she may need. At the end of her life, she was in the ICU. The night she passed, we all knew it was coming. Tristan went to the ICU during his shift to visit with her, brought her a cookie (she LOVED sweets), and brushed her hair, all while she was on her deathbed. Telling her she was okay and safe, doing anything he could to help her feel more comfortable. This meant so much to our family since we were not able to be there during the night with her. He called and let me know she was still smiling up until the end, and I'm so glad that's my last memory of her and that she felt safe around him. He went above and beyond any expectations, truly doing more than we could have ever asked for or wanted. We are so thankful for Tristan and his hard work and dedication to his patients.
