My father suffered a brain aneurysm and then a stroke. We spent almost 3 weeks in the Neuro-ICU and met many nurses during his stay. During the stay, all of dads' nurses were knowledgeable and did their job well. However, Trinity went above and beyond for both my dad and our family. She was the first face we saw after his surgery. Trinity treated us with kindness and respect and answered all our questions without making us feel rushed for asking so many questions. In addition, Trinity took extra steps to make us feel comfortable. When dad celebrated his 70th birthday in the ICU, she helped me sing “Happy Birthday” to him when the clock struck midnight. She also handmade him a birthday card and had all the staff sign it. When dad started feeling better, his request for different foods began to increase, and chocolate was first on his list.

Unfortunately, there was no chocolate on the floor, but Trinity went searching and brought it back nice and melted so that Dad could have a taste. She was not just a nurse who took care of my dad; she learned who he was as a person! His likes and dislikes, as well as his sense of humor. There are people in the world who go to work every day and do their jobs well. Then there are people like Trinity who put their whole heart into their career and make the world a better place for others. Trinity has been an enormous blessing to our family during a time when we needed it most. We can not thank her enough and will always hold a special place in our hearts for her.
